About Lower Merion Village
What is a Village?
Villages are membership-based organizations that help older adults live independently in their own homes and communities. We connect neighbors to social activities, services, and each other.
Lower Merion Village is part of a national movement of nearly 300 villages across the country, all working to support aging in place with dignity and connection.
What does Lower Merion Village do?
It is our mission to build helpful and supportive community connections in Lower Merion Township and environs. We engage neighborhood residents, including older adults and individuals with disabilities, to support one another to improve our community and live fulfilling lives. Currently we provide social, educational and wellness programming. All of our activities and programs are designed and planned by members and volunteers. Most are free or low-cost.

Connect and Explore
A wide variety of ongoing activities and meet-ups: Coffee Club, Village Out to Lunch, Mindful Meditation. Participate in group community service work opportunities locally. Meet new and old friends to build your network.
Learn Together
Programs on financial planning, aging, wellness and future planning. Lectures, trips to museums, and exploring our region together. Members plan our events and teach, too.
Stay Active
Weekly walks in Penn Wynne, group outings to nearby gardens and nature centers, local guided hikes. Move at your own pace with friends.
Get Support
Over time we’ll be organizing our services: rides to the doctor, help with technology and devices, someone to help organize your home. Our volunteers will be local neighbors, helping neighbors.
