LM Village Board of Directors
Leda Sportolari, President
Leda is a clinical social worker who maintains a small private psychotherapy practice. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings including state hospitals, schools, and family service agencies. She is the clinical director of the Philadelphia chapter of A Home Within, a national non-profit that offers pro-bono therapy to foster youth. Leda is a past president and board member of the Pennsylvania Society for Clinical Social Work.
Leda enjoys swimming, walking in the woods, caring for her pet labradoodle and meditation. She has particular interests in organizing programs involving crafts, nature, and community service. Leda is enjoying getting to know more people through Lower Merion Village and looks forward to building more community connections and support for her neighbors.
Ken Snyder, Vice President
Ken is a retired computer system administrator, overseeing all aspects of a Law Library computer system. He served on the Penn Wynne Library Association board for 4 years.
He is a member of Old Haverford Friends Meeting in Havertown. He has been on the Trustees Committee and previously served as the Clerk of the Meeting. Ken enjoys gardening, maintaining a plot in the community garden on the Meeting grounds. Ken still runs an occasional 5K. He believes the Lower Merion Village can make a difference on a local level, supporting seniors to age in place.
Lisa Dutton, Secretary
Lisa holds a BS and MBA from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked in a variety of positions directing and leading performance improvement programs in academic and health services settings. In retirement, Lisa has served on the membership committee of her Unitarian Universalist congregation and as a consultant for non-profit organizations with Compass Pro-Bono. Now she mainly volunteers doing cancer patient advocacy work with organizations including the Cancer Support Community, Unite for HER and the Hematology/ Oncology Pharmacy Association. She also volunteers annually at the Sundance Film Festival. Lisa is an avid skier and hiker who enjoys dining out and attending live arts. Lisa is committed to building social networks and is helping Lower Merion Village develop community for her own and her neighbors’ benefit.
Richard (Dick) Lytton, Treasurer
Dick is a retired Speech and Language Pathologist with more than 40 years in school, hospital, and university settings. Dick developed expertise in augmentative and alternative communication, helping people of all ages access communication.
Dick enjoys walking, travel and gardening at his Wynnewood home. Dick served as Chief Financial Officer for his wife’s family medical practice and brings financial and budgetary experience to the Lower Merion Village Board.
Grace Harrison
Grace is a retired healthcare executive and a licensed nursing home administrator whose focus was long-term care and geriatrics. She began her career working in state hospitals. Lower Merion Village got started through Grace’s initiative and advocacy.
Grace brings an understanding of geriatric and healthcare policies to the Lower Merion Village Board of Directors. She has lived in Penn Wynne for over 60 years and currently enjoys the company of her little dog Shari.
Hugh Peck
Hugh Peck is a musician and retired clinical social worker. With a focus on Community Organizing, Hugh worked primarily with older adults and their families in the Bronx, Manhattan’s Upper East Side, East Harlem, Northwest and North Philadelphia.
A singer-songwriter since he was a teenager, he now enjoys having time to rehearse, record and perform in the Philadelphia area. Hugh leads the Lower Merion Village Friday weekly walks in Penn Wynne and posts regularly on social media for the Village. Hugh is committed to strengthening Lower Merion Village outreach and volunteer opportunities.
Marjory (Margie) Billdersee
Margie taught elementary school in the Lower Merion School District for 35 years and has served on several local boards. She volunteers at a number of places, including Grands Stepping Up.
Margie enjoys collage, decorative painting, taking classes, mahjong, canasta, reading, walking, travel and playing with her grandchildren. Because of Margie's love for making connections and building community she is very excited to be a part of Lower Merion Village.
Village Staff
Sara Crimm (Part-time Administrator)
Sara is the Director of Families CCAN, a local organization supporting adults with disabilities and their families with resources, programs and services to enhance their independence journey. Sara helped secure a Lower Merion Township ARPA grant in 2024-2025 to assist with Village start-up activities. She currently supports Village volunteers with building out the Lower Merion Village infrastructure and launching as a nonprofit organization. Sara believes that building inclusive communities strengthens every resident, young and old.
In her free time Sara enjoys digging in her Wynnewood perennial garden, cooking and being a new grandma.
